Challenge:
As part of a graduate-level Style and Technical Writing course, my team was tasked with conducting A/B testing on the “About Us” section of a company website. The objective was to evaluate user preferences and effectiveness of different content styles, requiring us to design and implement a testing plan, analyze data, and present actionable recommendations.

Skills:

  • Developing a detailed proposal for A/B testing.
  • Designing and implementing usability tests using Google Sites and Google Forms.
  • Analyzing data using Microsoft Excel to identify user preferences and trends.
  • Collaborating on a professional slide deck to communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Applying UX and usability principles to evaluate and improve content.

Solution:
Our team selected a company website, proposed a testing plan, and implemented A/B tests to compare two versions of the “About Us” section. We collected and analyzed user feedback to determine the effectiveness of each version. The findings and actionable recommendations were compiled into a professional presentation delivered via PowerPoint and Slidedocs.

Outcome:
The project resulted in a comprehensive evaluation of the website’s content style, with clear recommendations for improvement based on user feedback. This collaborative effort demonstrated my ability to conduct UX research, apply usability principles, and deliver data-driven insights in a professional and impactful manner.
