Challenge:
Our team was tasked with creating a proof-of-concept single-source publishing solution for Tech Company’s Zen4 server documentation. The project required converting unstructured FrameMaker files into a structured and reusable format in MadCap Flare. The solution needed to demonstrate efficiency in content updates, online searchability, personalized print outputs, and consistency across all documentation while meeting a three-week deadline.

Solution:
Our team imported the Zen4 server’s unstructured FrameMaker content into MadCap Flare, then restructured and modularized it into reusable topics. We created HTML5 outputs to make the content searchable online and personalized PDFs for customers preferring print documentation. The proof-of-concept addressed Tech Company’s goals by streamlining content updates, ensuring consistency, and demonstrating scalability for future projects.

Outcome:
The final deliverable exceeded expectations, meeting all project goals within the given timeline. Content Rules was satisfied with the proof-of-concept, positioning our team as a strong candidate for additional projects. This assignment showcased our ability to implement single-source publishing solutions and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
